Wrapping up the whole plastic bag situation of the last fortnight or so.
Should you not follow my blog or instagram - the nuts and bolts is that I've been collecting clean and intact plastic bags at my cafe for redistribution at ground zero aka the supermarket. This was a very simple social experiment that wasn't exactly rosy, but does prove the concept that the future of sustainable waste solutions relies on local management initiatives. Thanks to Coles Chatswood Chase and Woolworths Balgowlah for having me and I'm looking forward to my next shift!
If you would like to participate, please bring your clean and intact plastic bags to The Steam Engine (located beneath the rail tracks at Chatswood train station) and I will see them to a critically-timed new home.
